Karen Pirc, MD, PhD, an expert in Maharishi Ayur-Veda health care, is in residence at the Maharishi Vedic Health Center at Lancaster, Massachusetts, USA from 1 to 20 September 2010.
On Sunday, 12 September at 2:00pm, Dr Pirc, who is medical director of the renowned Maharishi Ayurveda Health Centre in Bad Ems, Germany, will give a free public lecture: 'Ayurveda Made Easy! Simple Steps for Prevention, Purification and Rejuvenation'.
During her lecture Dr Pirc will include tips and easy-to-follow steps on how to improve balance in both mind and body which support a long, vital life.
Dr Pirc received her PhD in Psychology and studied medicine at the Hamburg University Clinic in Germany, where she became a licensed physician in 1983. In 1985 she opened the first Maharishi Ayurveda Health Centre in Germany, and since then has consulted with more than 20,000 people from all parts of the world.
In 2006 Dr Pirc became the first individual outside of India to be awarded the prestigious Indian 'Global Hakim Ajmal Khan Award' for Best Ayurveda Physician 2006. Dr Pirc is also a mother of four and author of eight books on Maharishi Ayurveda for practical everyday health and well-being.
'I know how vital it is to find an effective means for prevention and relief from the effects of the day-to-day stress of life. Authentic Maharishi Ayurveda procedures naturally promote health and strengthen immunity, and this is why I want to share my lecture with everyone,' Dr Pirc said.
Space is limited for the 12 September lecture. To reserve a seat, call toll free (in North America): 877-890-8600, or email: info@lancasterhealth.com
Dr Pirc was also recently featured in an interview in the 2010 summer issue of Spirit of Change Magazine.
During her visit to the Health Center in Lancaster between 1 and 20 September, for those who schedule a Maharishi Rejuvenation Panchakarma in-residence programme, Dr Pirc is available to sit in during the initial Maharishi Ayurveda Consultation with the resident Vaidya (Maharishi Ayurveda physician from India).
