A Maharishi Aromatherapy Consultants training course, held in Provence, France, from 15 to 30 May 2010, offered 15 participants from around the world knowledge of the many applications of Maharishi VedAroma essential oils for health and well-being.
'The goal of this course was to give an understanding of the immense and holistic value of essential oils in restoring blissful balance and well-being on the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual levels,' said Dr Rosie Geelvink, an expert on essential oils and one of the course leaders.* In addition, the course aimed to give an understanding of the principles of Maharishi Ayur-Veda health care associated with the use of essential oils.
In addition to Dr Geelvink, teachers of the course included Dr Walter Moelk, Deputy Minister of Health for the Global Country of World Peace; Dr Malte Hozzel, the host of the course in Provence; Lydia Bosson, a successful Aromatherapist from Switzerland; and two Vaidyas (expert Ayurvedic physicians from India), Dr Manohar and Dr Vyas.
Participants included Dr Paul Gelderloos, an administrator of the Transcendental Meditation Programme for Holland who is also a psychologist and successful businessman. Dr Gelderloos's impressions of the course and the value of essential oils were very positive.
Among other students were an allopathic doctor from Switzerland; three women from Australia who practise Yogic Flying; and several other health professionals and practitioners of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's programmes.
'It was an honour to have Dr Atmane Kouider (administrator of the Transcendental Meditation Programme in Algeria) attend the course, since he is in charge of the development and bottling of the VedAroma oils in Algeria,' remarked Dr Geelvink.
She concluded by expressing her hopes that further Aromatherapy Consultant Training courses might be offered in the near future, in locations such as Maharishi Vedic City, Iowa, USA. 'We wish for so many more people to experience this valuable knowledge.'
