United Arab Emirates: Proposed collaborations for Maharishi College of Perfect Health

Dr Robert Schneider, leading cardiologist, expert in Maharishi Ayur Veda, and researcher on the effects of the Transcendental Meditation programme for heart disease, presents an overview of potential collaborations and partnerships in the United Arab Emirates for the establishment of Maharishi College of Perfect Health, a new college and health centre.

The United Arab Emirates is a country of great innovation, Dr Schneider said*, following his recent first visit to the country. He commented that they have a vision to create in their nation a model of health care for the whole world.

For this prototype of the most advanced health care system in the world, they are interested in integrating the best of all systems of medicine. Dr Schneider praised the leaders in the field of medicine that he met, including the director of a health institute, who, Dr Schneider said, was 'thrilled with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's interest in reviving the deepest values of Natural Law' in medicine.

Dr Schneider also met a leading developer of hospitals in the country, and discussions were held about a multi-institutional partnership. The hospital developer was also very enthusiastic about integrating the best medical systems in the world—the best of prevention oriented, side effect-free, natural medicine in Maharishi Ayur Veda, with the most advanced technological aspects of modern medicine, the Unani system of traditional medicine, and other useful modalities, 'all under one roof', Dr Schneider said.
