New research on the Transcendental Meditation Programme and heart disease, funded by the National Institutes of Health, is currently underway at Howard University Medical School, in Washington, DC, USA. The research has recently been featured in a prominent university publication.
Speaking on 16 June 2009, Dr Mario Orsatti, National Director of Communications for the Global Country of World Peace in the US, reported that a recent issue of the Howard University Medical School magazine, called Check-Up, included an article on Transcendental Meditation research as its feature story. The headline was 'Study Examines Impact of Transcendental Meditation on Overall Health'.
The study, continued Dr Orsatti, is being conducted by a leading researcher at the university who has been involved in smaller-scale research projects on Transcendental Meditation in the past. 'He has already made wonderful statements about the potential of TM for solving the problem of heart disease,' concluded Dr Orsatti.
