Maharishi Light Therapy with Gems features gemstones in different forms

Maharishi Mahesh Yogi brought out a full array of approaches in his Vedic Science, to help people all over the world rise to enlightenment. Central to all these approaches are his Technologies of Consciousness, including the Transcendental Meditation Programme; there are also many modalities designed to promote perfect health through Maharishi Ayur-Veda.

A new programme of Maharishi Ayur-Veda, Maharishi Light Therapy with Gems, uses gems in different forms, complementing the other technologies and helping promote development of consciousness.

Under Maharishi's guidance, Dr Joachim Roller developed Maharishi Light Therapy with Gems from the knowledge in Ayur-Veda, an aspect of the Vedic Literature.

In his address at the Inauguration of the new Maharishi Light Therapy with Gems training course now underway in MERU, Holland, Dr Roller congratulated the course participants, 'because this course we owe to the greatness and delight of Maharishi who developed it.'

Dr Roller explained that sound (Mantras, utilized in Maharishi's Technologies of Consciousness), gems, and herbs used in Maharishi Ayur-Veda are means to evolve our consciousness in such a way that we gain enlightenment. 'We are made out of light, we are light, and we come back to the source in the light,' he said.

At his first meeting with Maharishi in Seelisberg, Switzerland, Dr Roller asked Maharishi how he could use his knowledge of gems to improve health and to enlighten consciousness. Maharishi suggested that he look into Ayur-Veda, where this knowledge could be found. Returning home, Dr Roller researched in the library of his local university, but found nothing.

At that point a physician called him, having heard Dr Roller was researching for material on how to use gems. This physician offered him a German translation of Ayur-Veda. Dr Roller never learned how this doctor located him. But from that time on, with his knowledge of gems and the knowledge in Ayur-Veda, with Maharishi's guidance he was able to develop this therapy. A further application involved creating food supplements out of gem powders.

When his first preparations were ready, he received a telephone call that a new project had begun with Maharishi's inspiration, to prepare Rasayanas* out of gems. Dr Roller realized that Maharishi's desire had been expressed at the moment it could be fulfilled, because he had already prepared some of these powders.

In 2007, Maharishi invited Dr Roller to come to MERU, to work on developing Maharishi Light Therapy with Gems and the practitioners' training course.
