Maharishi Integrative Medicine to integrate the most modern and traditional knowledge of medicine

Maharishi Integrative Medicine integrates modern and traditional medicine, highlighting Maharishi Ayur-Veda while also including other traditional medicines and treatments, such as Chinese or other indigenous, traditional knowledge for health care.
Dr Rainer Picha, Minister of Health of the Global Country of World Peace, explained recently that, in designing an ideal health care system, it was Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's inspiration to use 'the best of the best' that exists today from both modern and traditional medicine. Dr Picha said that these different traditions will be integrated and used at the same time for the same person, rather than trying different traditions separately if one does not work for that person.
When an individual comes to a Maharishi Health Centre, his or her situation will be approached from many different angles. One approach will be to address each of the five senses with treatments specifically for that sense—for example, for the sense of taste, with herbs and Vedic organic food; Maharishi Gem and Light Therapy with connection to the eyes; for the sense of touch there is Pancha Karma* and other massage techniques, etc. 'This will stimulate the self-healing mechanism in clients' own physiology in a much quicker way,' Dr Picha explained.
Maharishi Ayur-Veda physicians will be trained to become expert in Maharishi Integrative Medicine, Dr Picha said. They will have an overview and training in all these different aspects of knowledge; when it comes to the selection of a specific treatment, the client will be referred to experts in that field, who will prescribe the required treatment according to their own tradition.
Dr Picha went on to explain the three levels of the Maharishi Health Centres, which will be featured by Global Good News in the coming days.
* Also known as Maharishi Rejuvenation Therapy, offered at Maharishi Ayur-Veda Health Centres and Spas.
