Offering Maharishi's Transcendental Meditation through health insurance companies: Dr Rainer Picha

If learning the practice of Transcendental Meditation were covered by health insurance companies, many more people could gain its well-documented health benefits, while all institutions involved with health care costs would realize substantial savings.

This was the theme of a recent advanced seminar given by Dr Rainer Picha, Minister of Health for the Global Country of World Peace, in MERU, Holland.

Dr Picha explained that a brochure has been prepared targeting the effects of Transcendental Mediation on specific diseases, rather than presenting the whole range of benefits the technique offers. By focussing on major, costly health problems including hypertension, cardiovascular disease and its related risk factors, this brochure will be of interest and can be presented to health insurance companies and government and private institutions involved with health care expenses.

He said that in recent years so much convincing research has been published on Transcendental Meditation, that it is now time to start a new wave to address the insurance companies and related organizations and agencies, especially doctors' associations that issue guidelines for treatments.

The advanced seminar on 14 January was on 'Offering Maharishi's Transcendental Meditation through Health Insurance Companies,' and was part of the 12 January Global Celebrations Inaugurating Maharishi's Second Year of Invincibility - Global Raam Raj.
