Healthcare conference planned for Maharishi University of Management this fall

Speaking 27 August 2008 on Maharishi Global Family Chat, Dr Robert Schneider, Professor and Director of the Institute for Natural Medicine and Prevention at Maharishi University of Management and National Director of Health for the Global Country of World Peace in the United States, announced an upcoming conference for healthcare providers, to take place at Maharishi University of Management (M.U.M.) in Fairfield, Iowa, USA, 24-26 September.

The conference, hosted by the American Association of Health Professionals Practicing the Transcendental Meditation Program, will take place in the new M.U.M. Argiro Student Center, the largest Vastu building in the US. It will feature a keynote address by Dr John Hagelin*, world renowned physicist and Raja of Invincible America for the Global Country of World Peace. In his speech, Dr Hagelin will elucidate the principles of Unified Field-Based medicine. He will also communicate other fundamental principles of medicine which Maharishi Mahesh Yogi wanted all healthcare practitioners to understand, from the perspective of both modern science and Maharishi Ayur-Veda. Such topics will cover conceptualizations of consciousness and Transcendental Meditation in relation to health, herbal and dietary treatments, and environmental concerns.

Also at the conference, Maharaja Adhiraj Raja Raam, first ruler of the Global Country of World Peace, will deliver a welcome speech to participants, as well as providing scientific background, knowledge, and inspiration from the perspective of his groundbreaking discovery of Veda and Vedic Literature in human physiology. He will review the latest scientific research on Maharishi's programmes and the most up-to-date applications of Maharishi Ayur-Veda.

A few of the most recent technologies from Maharishi Ayur-Veda, such as light therapy with gems and Maharishi Aroma-therapy, will be unveiled at this conference for the first time in the United States.

'We hope this conference will help address the many issues faced by the American healthcare system today,' said Dr Schneider, in conclusion. 'We'd like to spread Maharishi's knowledge to as many healthcare professionals as possible, not only in the US, but throughout the world.'
