On 29 April 2008 Independent.ie - Dublin, Ireland reported:
Maharishi's Vedic Approach to Health can prevent illness, promote general well-being, and help with chronic illnesses, including but not limited to, rheumatoid arthritis, hypertension, and non-insulin-dependent diabetes.
It is a joy for Global Good News service to feature this news, which indicates the success of the life-supporting programmes Maharishi has designed to bring
fulfilment to the field of health.
The Independent reported, 'Noel O'Neill, who runs the Maharishi Ayurveda clinic in Monkstown (County Dublin, Ireland) and his colleague, Dr Donn Brennan, who was one of the first western medical doctors to train in India in Maharishi's Vedic Approach to Health, . . . work together to offer comprehensive health programmes to prevent illness and promote good health and long life, as ayurveda has been successfully used in the treatment of many conditions, including rheumatoid arthritis, hypertension, asthma, sinusitis, headaches, eczema, psoriasis, . . . and non-insulin-dependent diabetes.'
The article stated, 'Ayurveda maintains that balance is the key to health. Rather than repressing symptoms, it advocates correcting the underlying imbalance in the person's physiology.'
O'Neill first heard about Maharishi Ayurveda through his practice of Transcendental Meditation, which he learned to relieve the stress he accumulated in his career as an IBM marketing representative.
Transcendental Meditation 'had such a profound effect on him that he subsequently spent six months in Switzerland training to be a TM teacher' the article stated.
Three years ago, O'Neill and Dr Brennan started the Maharishi Ayurveda clinic in Monkstown.
The Independent reported, 'They present regular workshops, and offer personal consultations for anybody interested in taking care of their health, or for those who have already experienced ill-health and are looking to complement their regular medication.'
Every day Global Good News documents the rise of a better quality of life dawning in the world and highlights the need for introducing Natural Law based—Total
Knowledge based—programmes to bring the support of Nature to every individual, raise the quality of life of every society, and create a lasting state of world peace.
