Global Country of World Peace celebrates Day of Lasting Achievements

On Monday 27 April 2009, the Global Country of World Peace celebrated the auspicious day of Akshaya Tritiya, the Day of Lasting Achievements in the Vedic Calendar.

The grand, global celebration was broadcast live via Internet on the Maharishi Channel, Channel 3. It was held at the International Capital of the Global Country of World Peace in MERU, Netherlands, in the presence of Maharaja Adhiraj Rajaraam, First Ruler of the Global Country of World Peace, and his Global Council of Rajas, Ministers, and Raj Rajeshwaris, and leaders and members of the Global Country of World Peace around the world.

The celebration featured special live Vedic recitation performances by Maharishi Vedic Pandits at the Global Capital of World Peace in the Brahma-Sthan (geographical centre) of India, and in MERU.

Before the Pandits' recitation, Dr Bevan Morris, Prime Minister of the Global Country of World Peace, explained the special significance of the highly auspicious Day of Lasting Achievements—the day in the year when the sun and moon are both exalted, at their peak of brightness, and that 'activities begun on this day bear undiminished fruit'.

Dr Benjamin Feldman, Minister of Finance and Planning of the Global Country of World Peace, invited the Vedic Pandits in India and MERU to begin their Vedic performances, so that 'the thrills of the sounds of the Veda' reverberating in world consciousness would give support for every government 'to rise in affluence, prosperity, peace, and invincibility'—that the lasting achievement of this Akshaya Trititya be realized in lasting invincibility of every nation in the world.

After the Vedic Pandits' performance, Maharaja Adhiraj Rajaraam gave his blessings to the celebration. (Another Global Good News article will feature Maharaja's remarks.)

Later in the celebration, a video was played of the beautiful address by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, Founder of the Global Country of World Peace, during the celebration of Akshaya Tritiya on 20 April 2007. In his address, Maharishi brought to light the great secret of administration of the universe.

Everything is possible, Maharishi revealed, from the field of silence, which is the Unified Field of total Natural Law, where Gyan shakti, Total Knowledge, and Kriya shakti, infinite dynamism, are unified in Brahm (Totality). Any desire can be fulfilled from this level. Whatever is desired by anyone, Maharishi explained, it is supplied to him from the secret unseen level of administration of Brahm—the transcendental self-referral consciousness of everyone, from where the mere subtlest impulse of desire is fulfilled.

'What is my great desire? And I am sure it's coming to be fulfilled—the desire is to achieve that high goal of Raam Raj (Global Administration through Natural Law) which is sung by Ramayan generation after generation, Yuga (age) after Yuga, time after time . . . . Remaining in the Transcendent, from that level always everything is available to everyone . . . . soon soon soon. Soon it is going to happen. Soon is it going to happen.' —Maharishi

After the replay of Maharishi's address, Dr Morris explained that this tradition would always be upheld by the Global Country of World Peace, 'constantly to refresh our memory of Maharishi's teaching—but especially to glory in these great occasions such as today, by watching and listening to Maharishi speaking his expressions flowing from Guru Dev for all of us in the world.'
