Maharishi's Vedic Approach to Defence - Part III

In a recent global News Conference, Dr John Hagelin, Minister of Science and Technology of the Global Country of World Peace, outlined Maharishi's Vedic Approach to Defence for the creation of Invincibility for every nation.

Dr Hagelin explained that it is scientifically proven fact that conflict and war can be prevented and even stopped by creating and sustaining a large permanent coherence-creating group of Yogic Flyers.

In Maharishi's remarkable programme of Invincibility for every nation, many countries are coming up with their own groups—for example, in the Netherlands and the United States—where the largest such group in the world, almost 2,000, is gathered at Maharishi University of Management in the Fairfield and Maharishi Vedic City, Iowa.

'This group will soon be large enough to create a reliable influence of peace and positivity in the United States,' Dr Hagelin said, 'and even as the size of the group approaches the required number of the square root of one per cent of the population of the country—1,732 for three hundred million people of the US— the trends in the US have begun to improve.'

The economy has been buoyed by more optimism, more consumer confidence, Dr Hagelin said. The stock markets have grown dramatically; trillions of dollars of economic good fortune and unanticipated wealth has been added to the country in contrast to the previous six years in which there had been a slow average decline in the value of America's companies and stocks.

Even from the very first day of the Invincible America Assembly on July 23, 2006, said Dr Hagelin, the stock market undertook the beginning of a major and stable upward trend; all the major stock market indices have risen dramatically in an extraordinary, highly statistically significant way.

Not just in the economy, but in every area of national life there is more peace, less fear, less chaos than before. This increasing desire for peace has even propelled rising movements of peace within the government itself, which is now more peaceful than before, with a complete turnabout in government attitudes and policies, Dr Hagelin said. The change is heartening.

'What we are talking about here,' said Dr Hagelin, 'is not the hope of peace, not a dream of invincibility and peace on earth.

'What we are talking about is the scientific reality of peace already arriving in the world on the basis of a long-tested, scientifically proven programme to prevent war and terrorism; a programme sufficient to raise any nation to the status of Invincibility.

'Preventing enemies on a scientific and reliably demonstrable basis is the only ticket to invincibility today. The proven road to peace and invincibility is not war, but peace, the physical power of peace that exists within the Unified Field, which unites opposite values in eternal harmony,' said Dr Hagelin.
