The Excellence In Action page of Global Good News is featuring Maharishi University of Management* faculty who recently presented a more profound view of agriculture at a conference on ''The Spirit of Sustainable Agriculture'' hosted by Harvard Divinity School.

Delegates from MUM leading a conference workshop were Dr. Travis Cox, Dr. John Fagan, and Dr. A. Thimmaiah, who was also invited to address the entire conference. His presentation advocated that the future for farming is not genetically modified organisms or conventional farming with toxic chemicals. Instead, he proposed spirituality in agriculture, with methods more simple and natural, saying, 'It's agriculture such as Vedic and Biodynamic agriculture that gives deep respect and reverence for—and humility toward—farmers and farming'.

Workshop themes were ''integral agriculture'' by Dr. Cox, Dr. Fagan presented Maharishi Vedic Organic Agriculture, and Dr. Thimmaiah spoke about 'Biodynamic agriculture''.
