Vastu Garden Community in Scotland

A unique piece of land has been found in Edinburgh, Scotland for a Maharishi Peace Colony,* just 20 minutes north from the heart of the city. On this site, within the protection of 500-year-old stone walls, the garden will initially contain about a dozen Vastu homes (built according to Maharishi Vedic architecture) and a hall for a coherence-creating group of people practising Transcendental Meditation and Yogic Flying together. A further 20 homes will be situated on beautiful land adjoining the walled garden, with excellent views over the Firth of Forth.

There is ample space for organic agriculture: fruit trees and bushes, and a vegetable and herb garden. An original Victorian glass house is to be restored to provide a working environment for organic produce year-round, and a centre for the Maharishi Vedic Organic approach to horticulture.
