Global Country of World Peace leaders inspire organic agriculture progress in Dominica

At the end of last year, the National Director of the Transcendental Meditation Programme in Dominica attended a meeting held by the Dominica Organic Agriculture Movement, during which she proposed projects for Maharishi Vedic Organic Agriculture for the country. She was later invited to join the executive board of the organization to help make organic agriculture a reality in Dominica.

Also in the field of agriculture, Dr Peter Swan, an international expert in Maharishi Vedic Organic Agriculture,* recently a held a teleconference which the secretary of the Dominica Organic Agriculture Movement attended. In a follow-up conference, a top Dominican official in agriculture will speak with Dr Swan regarding organic and sustainable initiatives in this field, and the possibility of establishing a Maharishi University of Agriculture within the Caribbean island nation.

In other news from Dominica in the new year, a Transcendental Meditation Teacher Training Course is being planned, as well as a TM Teacher Refresher Course, for Dominica and the whole Caribbean.

These achievements for Dominica in 2010 and new initiatives for 2011 were reported in continuing sessions of the global 12 January celebration of the Global Country of World Peace.
