Belgium launches Maharishi Vedic Organic Agriculture projects, EU petitions GMOs

Maharishi Vedic Organic Agriculture projects are underway in Belgium. At the same time, European attitudes toward GMOs are moving in the direction of increasing food purity and safety, in accord with principles of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's Vedic Science and technologies of consciousness.

At the Maharishi Invincibility Centre in Brussels, Belgium, an herb garden has been established according to the principles of Maharishi Vedic Organic Agriculture. These herbs, such as mint, oregano, basil, and coriander, are used to prepare delicious meals for guests at the Centre.

In addition, the Centre enjoys organic pear trees, and Vedic Organic produce contributed by practitioners of the Transcendental Meditation Programme and Yogic Flying throughout Belgium—such as zucchinis, pumpkins, tomatoes, grapes, melons, apples, and other herbs.

In a sign of rising coherence in collective consciousness resulting from Maharishi's programmes, one million citizens of the European Union recently signed a petition to ban GMOs (Genetically Modified Organisms), and this petition will be considered by the European Commission for new legislation. John Fagan, PhD, eminent molecular scientist who serves as Associate Director of the Institute of Science, Technology and Public Policy in the US, has warned about the dangers of altering plant DNA. He advocates proven successful methods for producing nutritious food on a large scale without use of GMOs.
