Maharishi Vedic Gardens introduced in new website and book

Maharishi Vedic Gardens combine many aspects of the ancient knowledge of total Natural Law, the Veda and Vedic Literature—including Vastu, Vedic Architecture; Jyotish, Vedic Astrology; and Ayur-Veda, the science of life—the knowledge of life span. Other sources include classical Sanskrit texts relating to the agricultural sciences—including Vrikshayurveda, the science of plant life, dealing with the development and maintenance of gardens; and Udyanavidya, the knowledge of gardens, parks, and royal gardens.
A beautiful new website introduces this knowledge, featuring videos, a new book, and Maharishi Vedic Garden Consultation Service.
Maharishi Vedic Gardens are laid out in four cardinal directions—north, south, east, and west—and four intermediary directions—northeast, northwest, southeast, and southwest—as described in the Vedic texts, with associations to specific planets and their influences on the qualities produced in the various plants.
The knowledge from the Vedic Literature noted on the site also gives a glimpse of how the planets and stars influence the different areas of the Vedic garden at different times in the lunar and solar cycles.
For example, when the moon passes through the constellations of Pisces, Cancer, and Scorpio, one can observe an influence that enhances the growth of leaves. The water element is connected with these three constellations, and when the water element is predominant, it has a nourishing influence on the leaf crop.
A new book is also available about Vedic Gardening: A Maharishi Vedic Garden: Gardening in Accord with Natural Law is a 60-page, 11 x 8 1/2 inch, soft-cover book with more than 53 full pages of photos. The photos present nine distinct gardens, enriched with fountains, flowers, trees, walkways, and outer forest gardens. This beautiful and informative book also includes over 50 quotes from the Vedic Literature related to Vedic Gardening, giving a glimpse of the Maharishi Vedic Garden and the Vedic principles that guide the gardens' layout.
A Maharishi Vedic Garden Consultation Service is available to help people design the perfect garden for a Vastu home or office building. The consultation service is offered through the MERU Institute of Vedic Design, the Netherlands, and will also be offered through the institute in Switzerland. From city parks to small window boxes, depending on the size of the garden, the knowledge for creating a Maharishi Vedic Garden is now beautifully presented in this new website and book.
