Maharishi Global Family Chat recently featured Raja Kingsley Brooks, Raja (Administrator) of the Global Country of World Peace for Nepal, along with Nepal's National Director, Mr Deepak Baskota, reporting on plans to create invincibility in the country through Maharishi Vedic Organic Agriculture and Consciousness-Based Education.

Raja Kingsley spoke of Mr Baskota's high regard in Nepal and his position of influence in promoting Maharishi's programmes for peace. 'Mr Baskota is a very distinguished leader in his country, a former member of the national Parliament and Minister of Foreign Affairs for the government of Nepal, as well as a leader of many organizations promoting agriculture and economy in Asia and the Pacific. He's also the founder of the first organic tea, coffee, and spice company in Nepal. He has great influence in the country and, as a friend to all, he is an adviser to members of government and all political parties'.

Mr Baskota said, 'Maharishi inspired me several years ago to promote Vedic agriculture and create pure organic food that will be exported worldwide. Seventy-five percent of the population of Nepal is involved in agriculture and the country is known to have a very pure and unpolluted environment, making it ideal for the cultivation of Vedic organic food. The farmers in this programme will be provided with Vedic education and instruction in Transcendental Meditation and the Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme, bringing enlightenment and prosperity to the people.'

Forty new teachers of the Transcendental Meditation Programme have been trained and are prepared to begin teaching TM in the schools in Nepal. Several schools have begun teaching Sanskrit as part of their 'Vedic education programme'. By adding Consciousness-Based Education, noted Mr Baskota, and teaching students the TM Technique, Nepal will achieve its goal of having 10,000 meditating students. 'From this it will be easy to achieve more than the required number of Yogic Flyers—539—to create invincibility for the nation. Nepal will rise to be a leader in Maharishi Vedic Organic Agriculture, and will be a model for all developing countries, and a stable influence of peace and coherence in Asia.'
