New scientific research shows Maharishi Vedic City organic cucumbers contain higher levels of essential nutrients.

MAHARISHI VEDIC CITY ORGANIC CUCUMBERS:

Vitamin C 3.6 times higher than conventional

Vitamin E 3.3 times higher than conventional

Iron 6.8 times higher than conventional

Calcium 1.43 times higher than conventional

Other nutrients measured—Vitamin A, Potassium, Magnesium, Riboflavin, Sodium—were similar in Maharishi Vedic Organic and conventional cucumbers.

Organic cucumbers grown at Maharishi Vedic City Organic Farms in Maharishi Vedic City, Iowa, were found to contain higher levels of essential nutrients compared to the nutritional content of conventionally grown cucumbers, according to the results of new research conducted at Food Products Laboratory, Inc., a leading nutritional laboratory in Portland, Oregon.

The Maharishi Vedic City organic cucumbers were obtained by the lab from a grocery store in Fairfield, Iowa, and compared to data gathered by the USDA on the nutritional content of conventionally grown cucumbers that were obtained in US grocery stores.

The results were impressive. Maharishi Vedic City organic cucumbers contained 3.6 times more Vitamin C and 3.3 times more Vitamin E than the USDA found in conventional cucumbers. The levels of important mineral nutrients were much higher in Maharishi Vedic City organic as well. Iron was 6.8 times higher than in conventional and Calcium was 1.43 times higher.

The results confirm what consumers report when they eat the cucumbers and other Maharishi Vedic City organic vegetables: 'I feel deeply nourished by these vegetables—and they taste better, too,' says Susan Daniels, mother of three children, who adds she is pleased to pay the premium for the produce. 'It is worth every extra penny that I pay, to make sure that I feed my family the most nutritious vegetables.'
