US: Iowa Congressman Dave Loebsack tours MUM Sustainable Living Center

Congressman Dave Loebsack of Iowa toured the Sustainable Living Center at Maharishi University of Management in the USA yesterday, as part of a visit to Southeast Iowa industries and people working in the green sector.

Mr Loebsack is a member of the United States House of Representatives, representing the Second Congressional District in Southeast Iowa, in which MUM is located.

Congressman Loebsack praised the work being done by the Sustainable Living program and the university. He spoke with faculty, staff, and students and heard about the extraordinary efficiency and ''net zero'' energy design of the building, the teaching structure, as well as the Sthapatya Veda (Vastu*) qualities and benefits of the building.
