US: Sierra Club names Maharishi University of Management ''Cool School''

For the first time, Maharishi University of Management in Fairfield, Iowa, USA, has been included among the ''Sierra Club Cool Schools'' competition winners.

This annual competition is in its seventh year, and the standards have continued to get more comprehensive.

The selection of cool schools was based on a comprehensive survey that collects data on every aspect of campus sustainability, including curriculum, renewable energy infrastructure, waste management, bike and pedestrian friendliness, campus dining, and community outreach.
