Maharishi University of Management in Fairfield, Iowa, USA, will hold its 2013 Convocation, inaugurating the new academic year on Monday, 2 September.

The Convocation will be available to view online as a livestreamed event.

The program features distinguished speakers including:

∙ Dr. Bevan Morris, president of Maharishi University of Management

∙ Dr. John Hagelin, professor of physics, director of the Institute of Science, Technology and Public Policy, and member of the Board of Trustees

∙ Alexandra Pomeroy — new president of the Global Student Council

∙ Amine Kouider — MUM alum and student in the new David Lynch MA in Film program

∙ James Wilson — MUM undergraduate student and military veteran who spent the summer working at the Transcendental Meditation center in Washington DC and appeared on two television shows to talk about the benefits of the TM program for PTSD

∙ Brooke Hadfield — Returning undergraduate student who attended the Transcendental Meditation teacher training course and spent the last 18 months teaching the TM program in Australia

∙ Also to be featured is the short film by Kinga Kulcsar, a student in the David Lynch MA in Film, who David Lynch selected as the winner in a short-film competition among prospective students, with the winner receiving a full tuition scholarship.

∙ Dr. Andy Bargerstock, Director of the MBA Accounting Professionals program — report on student achievements in that program.

∙ Dr. David Streid, Chief Administrative Officer — summary of ongoing campus renovations and the campus Master Plan.
