Gde Brawishwara Putra, an MBA student at Maharishi University of Management, comes from the island of Bali, Indonesia. He received his B.S. in geodesy and geomatics engineering in 2011 and is now vice president of a family real estate brokerage and development business in Bali.

Gde is also director of Maharishi Bhuwana Bali Shanti Foundation, an organization he founded with his parents to help teach the Transcendental Meditation technique in Bali, make Consciousness-Based education widely available, and introduce Maharishi Vedic Organic Agriculture.

Last year Gde completed a course on Maharishi Vedic Architecture in the Netherlands, and he has been involved in locating suitable land in Bali for the construction of a Maharishi Vastu development.

Gde has always wanted to study in the United States and was happy to discover that Maharishi University of Management offers an MBA degree in sustainable business. He feels this is the right education he needs to create a business that aims not only to maximize profit, but to care for the people and the environment.
