Girls' schools and a junior college in Kolkata and Hyderabad, India, continue as lighthouses of Consciousness-Based Education, with students and staff practising Transcendental Meditation and the advanced Transcendental Meditation-Sidhi Programme in a group.

In Kolkata the total number of students in the past year has been 1,150, and in the new academic year it will be 1,450. Similarly in Hyderabad, where there are 1,950 students and staff, enrolment is rising, as more parents appreciate the unique education offered by these institutions and the academic excellence achieved by the students.

Teachers from Kolkata and Hyderabad have participated in a Consciousness-Based Education seminar in Bhopal in December and since then have been training their fellow teachers and lecturers. On this basis teachers will start offering the secondary school level Science of Creative Intelligence course to their students on a weekly basis.
