All the branches of Maharishi Institute of Management 'are continuing to train and produce enlightened executives and corporate leaders for business and industry for India, and at the same time, for the whole world,' said Dr Girish C Varma,* reporting recently on the achievements of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's programmes in India in the past year.
For the academic session recently concluded, 'Maharishi Institutes of Management have graduated more than 350 leaders,' Dr Varma said. For the new academic year they have again enrolled about 350 so far, and are still in process to enrol 300-400 more people.
Maharishi Institute of Vedic and Management Sciences and Maharishi Colleges in Madhya Pradesh are offering courses of Maharishi Vedic University—Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Vedic Vishwavidyalaya—bachelor's degree courses, and diploma programmes in education and physical education, to over 1,000 students.
In other news from India, Dr Varma reported that the third anniversary of the launch of E-Gyan was celebrated 3 July, with publication of its 36th issue. E-Gyan is a monthly digital newsletter, read by over 300,000 citizens of India, and many thousands of people in other countries.
E-Gyan informs its readership of activities and achievements of Maharishi's institutions and initiatives in India, as well as news in brief of organizations offering Maharishi's programmes in countries around the world.
