US: Vedic Education Week to be offered by Maharishi School

The article features a special Vedic Education Week, to be offered as a summer camp program June 16-22 at Maharishi School in Fairfield, Iowa, in response to strong interest from the Indo-American community in the United States.

Parents and their children (grades 7-12) will have the opportunity to learn the Transcendental Meditation technique, Maharishi Yoga asanas, basic Sanskrit, Maharishi Vedic Mathematics, and Maharishi Ayur-Veda health care, including Maharishi Self-Pulse reading.

In the afternoons, while students participate in sports and recreation, adults can enjoy an introduction to Maharishi Vedic Science, Veda in human physiology, and Maharishi Vastu (architecture in harmony with Natural Law).

Interest in Consciousness-Based Education and the depth of Vedic knowledge in the Maharishi University of Management and Maharishi Vedic City communities has surged this year among Indo-Americans in the U.S., with groups coming for special Vedic visitors' weekends from St Louis, Chicago, and Minnesota. Several Indo-American organizations have helped to structure Vedic Education Week.
