New college students fascinated by 'the science and technology of consciousness'

The University offers a variety of bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degree programmes in the sciences, arts, business, and humanities—including the popular B.S. in Sustainable Living and B.A. in Media and Communications; and MBA programmes in Sustainable Business and for Accounting Professionals.

But admissions staff are finding in recent years that an increasing number of incoming students are drawn to undergraduate and graduate programmes in Maharishi Vedic Science.

For example, of 174 new students who had arrived on the MUM campus in Fairfield, Iowa, earlier this month, 70 indicated an interest in Maharishi Vedic Science as the focus of their studies.

Students are fascinated by this discipline, which is is the science and technology of consciousness, said an admissions officer. 'There's something that resonates with them.'
