UK: Graduate praises Maharishi Free School - 'We loved to go to school'

'This small but great school has now been given the recognition that it truly deserves,' said a former student of Maharishi School in the United Kingdom, which has now been granted Free School status by the Department for Education.

At a celebration of the opening of Maharishi Free School, the student said that he was 'trying to work out why it is that whenever I think of the Maharishi School I am filled with a sense of great joy and deep fondness.

'I can only say that it must be down to the fact that we loved to go to school.'

While the school has an impressive track record of academic achievement, in the student's experience 'every day was full of such laughter and fun that it never felt like we were doing any work. . . .

'This school is without doubt the most fertile environment we could have ever been given a chance in which to spread our roots and grow,' he said.

Having completed the first stage of his architectural training and now working with top Maharishi Vastu architects, he said, 'I don't think we will ever know just how fortunate we are to have been given this start in life.'
