Growing interest in Maharishi Free School in West Lancashire, England—where Consciousness-Based Education programmes benefit both students and the nation—has led to plans for expansion.
'Not only will the school be creating young people who are able to fulfil their own desires and . . . contribute effectively to society at the same time, but in the same stroke [it will be] creating coherence throughout the nation,' an administrator of the Transcendental Meditation Programme in the UK said.
All students at the school enjoy daily practice of Transcendental Meditation, and older students have the opportunity to learn the advanced Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme.
Over 140 new students and parents recently learned Transcendental Meditation, and both students and parents are looking forward to the coming year at the school.
Now that it is a state-funded Free School, more students are able to attend. Enthusiasm is rising, with young people in the area saying to their parents, 'I want to go the Maharishi School. Will you take me to the Maharishi School?' a school administrator said.
Over the next few years, Maharishi Free School plans to expand its student body, and also establish new schools in order to meet the growing demand.
Four schools, each with 200 meditating students, would also create an influence of invincible peace, harmony, and progress in the nation, the administrator said.
