The article features Dr. Rod Eason, one of four PhD students who graduated from Maharishi University of Management in July, who also received this year's Veda Vyasa Prize, given to the PhD student with the most significant research.

Prior to moving to Fairfield, Dr. Eason had a successful 20-year career in the software industry, working in sales and marketing for various high-tech companies in California. He was drawn to MUM and in 2004 enrolled in the MA program in Maharishi Vedic Science.

In addition to pursuing his PhD, Dr. Eason has been teaching courses in Maharishi Vedic Science for the past three years. He is now a full-time member of the MUM faculty and chairs the Department for the Development of Consciousness. ''When I started teaching here, I just felt completely at home,'' he said. ''I really enjoy the students here; I love the University.''
