Mexico: Consciousness-Based Education to benefit student population, promote peace in the nation

Consciousness-Based Education programmes are being applied in secondary schools and universities in Mexico, to improve student achievement while contributing to the creation of invincible peace and progress for the nation.

In Mexico there are now 2,000 students practising the Transcendental Meditation Technique and its advanced programmes, including Yogic Flying, in secondary schools, which have been shown by scientific research to reduce stress, increase learning ability, and promote integrated brain functioning. This wave of progress has inspired plans to establish a new private school where students will also practise these programmes. When practised in large groups, these technologies of consciousness have been shown to create coherence and harmony in the whole society, and the combined effect of these initiatives for secondary schools will help consolidate national invincibility for Mexico.

In addition to the schools, a well-regarded university has recently introduced Consciousness-Based Education on its multiple campuses. Transcendental Meditation is being taught among different sectors of the university population.

A leading education official has expressed interest in programmes for applying Consciousness-Based Education on a large scale, as is being done in other countries, even in school systems serving as many as one million students.
