Students throughout the world are becoming interested in the Computer Professionals Programme (CompPro) at Maharishi University of Management (MUM) in Fairfield, Iowa, USA, in part resulting from a recent international tour by a professor in the programme.
Dr Greg Guthrie, Dean of the College of Computer Science and Math at MUM, recently completed a tour of China, Nepal, and India, where he spoke with 600 to 700 undergraduates at 12 top universities. 'All of these students,' he said, 'were extremely impressed by the CompPro degree track, and by MUM as a whole.' Dr Guthrie also noted that many students referred to the university as 'too good to be true'.
The programme, which combines a Master's degree in computer science with practical job experience at a US company, has attracted students from over 50 different countries since it was launched 13 years ago.
