The Album features several recent developments in Peru, including a full-page article on the Transcendental Meditation Programme and its benefits for education, recently featured in the most prestigious and widely read newspaper in Peru, The Peruvian.
The article highlights the very successful programme that is in progress high in the mountains of Peru in Puno, a small city on the shores of Lake Titicaca. Fifteen hundred students in six schools have been coming together each day for several years to practise the Transcendental Meditation and Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi—unfolding their full potential as individuals and creating invincibility for their nation.
Also reported are events that developed as a result of the article, including a presentation on Consciousness-Based Education to 800 teachers in the area of Lima, with 100 proposals subsequently received from schools wishing to implement the programme.
