The article features a new master's degree programme at Maharishi University of Management, scheduled to launch next fall, that will focus on creating a new generation of educational entrepreneurs who are prepared to work in the full range of innovative settings—from charter schools, magnet schools, and career academies, to schools that are incorporating Consciousness-Based Education.

'This is a time of great experimentation and change in the field of education,' says Dr Chris Jones, director of the new programme. 'Everyone is looking to solve the apparently unsolvable problems of education.'

Among the solutions being explored by educators is the addition of a quiet time period during which students have the opportunity to practise the Transcendental Meditation Technique. The new programme will also prepare students to teach in these schools.
