Maharishi University of Management Yoga Asana course soon to be offered via distance education

A Maharishi Yoga Asana course is currently being offered through the Department of Physiology and Health at Maharishi University of Management (MUM) in Fairfield, Iowa, USA. The course will soon also be offered through the university's distance education programme.

The course is being taught by Dr Paul Morehead, Associate Chairperson of the Department of Physiology and Health, and his wife Carol Morehead. Ninety students are enrolled, many of whom are members of the Invincible America Assembly.

'The 16-lesson Asana course is like all courses designed by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi—systematic, effortless, and profound,' commented Dr Morehead, who is also Associate Dean of Maharishi College of Perfect Health at MUM. He went on to explain that, unlike other yoga exercise courses, the Yoga Asana course involves a student's quality of attention. 'Nearly everyone has profound experiences of increasing flexibility and clarity, and the enlivening of inner intelligence.'

The Asana course will be videotaped and offered online in early spring, along with other MUM distance education courses on self-pulse reading and Dr John Hagelin's Fundamentals of Physics and Cosmology course.
