Consciousness-Based Education programmes are thriving in Latin America, including a new model for building and operating schools, and the upcoming establishment of accredited universities to offer Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's educational programmes.
Seven countries in Latin America—including Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia and Brazil—have a new model for Consciousness-Based Education projects. Schools will be built according to Vastu (Vedic architecture) principles, offering Consciousness-Based Education; some aspects of the schools will have government support.
New accredited universities in Latin America are being established to offer Maharishi's programmes in education, in collaboration with existing institutions such as Maharishi University of Management in the US and Maharishi Vedic Universities in India and Europe. 'An ideal project would be to expand and create university-based communities in certain parts of Latin America,' said Raja Jose Luis Alvarez, Raja of Invincible Latin America for the Global Country of World Peace.
Raja Luis concluded by emphasizing that success in all these areas has come about on the basis of the established large groups of Yogic Flyers in Latin America—a necessary foundation to support these expansions.
* Raja Luis's report was featured on the 28 September 2010 Maharishi Global Family Chat, broadcast daily via Internet webcast on the Maharishi Channel, Channel 3.
