Maharishi University of Management celebrates Founder's Day

On 12 September, the students, faculty, and administrators of Maharishi University of Management in Fairfield, Iowa, USA, celebrated Founder's Day—honouring the university's founder Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. The President of the University and Prime Minister of the Global Country of World Peace, Dr Bevan Morris, introduced the celebration, explaining that this day brings the university and Maharishi School* back to the wholeness of Maharishi's Total Knowledge.

Dr Morris explained that Maharishi's knowledge has as its practical application the creation of Heaven on Earth for the human race—happiness, prosperity, peace, harmony, and invincibility. 'This age is now already dawning,' Dr Morris said. 'This university that Maharishi created in 1971 is at the heart of that global transformation.'

Dr Morris said that Maharishi looked to Maharishi University of Management as the example of his educational system through its faculty—as the educators of the young leaders of the world, upholding the full dignity of Consciousness-Based Education—and as the place that would make America invincible and secure perpetual peace.

'We celebrate this reality in our own transcendental, self-referral state of consciousness,' Dr Morris said, 'in which the power of silence and the infinite power of action are united in one wholeness.'

Those attending the celebration also participated in a brief group practice of Transcendental Meditation in honour of Maharishi on Founder's Day.

Dr John Hagelin, Director of the Institute of Science, Technology and Public Policy at MUM, and Raja (Administrator) of Invincible America, also addressed the Founder's Day celebration.

A video replay of this celebration was featured on the 27 September Maharishi Global Family Chat, which is broadcast daily via Internet webcast on the Maharishi Channel, Channel 3.

* Maharishi School is a K-12 Consciousness-Based Education institution located adjacent to the MUM campus in Fairfield, Iowa.
