In the United Kingdom, doctors are now in a position to decide for themselves whether to prescribe Transcendental Meditation for the health care of their patients, funded by the National Health Service.
The new government, elected in May, has brought out a range of new policies, including in health care and education, said Raja Peter Warburton, Raja of Invincible Great Britain for the Global Country of World Peace in his report about recent developments in the UK.
Raja Peter went on to explain that in the field of education, schools established by organizations that consider they have something useful to offer can now receive government funding. 'This is a totally new development,' Raja Peter said, 'and something in favour of the progress and achievements of the organizations of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in the country.'
Maharishi School in Skelmersdale, Lancashire, which has been winning major educational awards for many years, is likely to become one of these schools, he said.
There has also been a major revival in organic agriculture in the country, Raja Peter reported. A large team in Great Britain, including scientists, is working with Dr John Fagan, Raja of the Global Country with Responsibility for Food Purity and Healthy Invincibility. Raja Fagan is 'at the centre of holding back destructive approaches to agriculture in the world and promoting natural and organic agriculture', Raja Peter said. He 'has been there to provide the knowledge that triggers the transformations in different parts of the world in the field of agriculture'.
In the United Kingdom, 'government policies are reflecting a much more enlightened level of thinking,' Raja Peter commented.
* Dr John Fagan is author of Genetic Engineering: The Hazards. Vedic Engineering: The Solutions; his research papers have been published in leading journals, including Molecular and Cellular Biology, Journal of Biological Chemistry, Journal of Molecular Biology, and Biochemistry.
* Raja Peter spoke on the 27 July Maharishi Global Family Chat, which is broadcast daily via Internet webcast on the Maharishi Channel, Channel 3. Podcasts of the daily Global Family Chat (audio track) are also now available for automatic download, via an RSS feed.
