Turkey: Educators immediately recognize value of Consciousness-Based Education

Educators across Turkey who hear about Consciousness-Based Education immediately recognize that this system is something of great value.

Dr Ashley Deans,* Global Ambassador for Consciousness-Based Education, said that the enthusiastic response from educators during his recent tour of the country was similar to that of teachers everywhere.

'There is hardly a teacher in the world who won't say: ''Hey, I need that,'' ' Dr Deans said.**

In one city Dr Deans visited, no lectures had been pre-arranged, so a local school was called and asked if they would like to hear about Consciousness-Based Education.

The principal indicated interest, so Dr Deans and Raja Paul Potter, Raja of Invincible Turkey for the Global Country of World Peace, met with him.

This school has decided to offer the Transcendental Meditation Programme, Dr Deans reported. 'This really convinced us that we can now go to any school—just pick a school at random, go in, make a presentation to the principal and some of the faculty, and they'll say, ''Yes, we want the programme,'' ' he added.

'In any country now the teachers are ready to learn Transcendental Meditation. . . . And as soon as the teachers realize they need it, they realize this is also something good for the students.'

The reaction of students to talks about Consciousness-Based Education has also been overwhelmingly positive, Dr Deans said.

'Education is for unfolding that infinite creativity and intelligence for success in daily life,' he said. 'Maharishi School of the Age of Enlightenment in Fairfield [Iowa, USA] is living proof that . . . . Consciousness-Based Education consistently produces outstanding students year after year.' The school produces world champions even with an open admissions policy.
