Turkey: Students inspire educators about Consciousness-Based Education

Students who practise the Transcendental Meditation Programme in Turkey are helping to inspire educators about Consciousness-Based Education. Those who hear about the programme have said that they feel this is the future of education.

During a recent tour, Dr Ashley Deans,* Global Ambassador for Consciousness-Based Education, and Raja Paul Potter, Raja of Invincible Turkey for the Global Country of World Peace, spoke to educational leaders along with these young people.

At one city's Maharishi Invincibility Centre,** a young student who had recently learned Transcendental Meditation spoke about her experiences during the practice, 'how wonderful it was', Dr Deans said.***

The following night, another young meditator 'spoke beautifully' to school principals and 'made it very easy for Raja Paul and [Dr Deans] to give the lecture, and say to these educators, ''you see how integrated and how brilliant these meditating students are—and they tell you that their brilliance comes from meditation.'' '

At one educational institution the dean of faculty was a physicist, Dr Deans continued. 'She was extremely fascinated by the whole presentation,' he said, and she presented the speakers with an award at the end of the lecture.

'In this university there will be many, many students starting [Transcendental Meditation],' Dr Deans reported. 'It was just a wonderful response from the students' he said, especially those studying to become educators. 'They realized that Consciousness-Based Education is the future of education in Turkey.'
