Participants in a Transcendental Meditation Teacher Training Course now in progress in Thailand are tremendously inspired to share the programmes of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. Many already have concrete plans to offer the Transcendental Meditation Programme in schools upon returning to their home countries.
One lady from Uganda will be working in the Consciousness-Based Education school that has been established in that nation.
School programmes in every country will help create national invincibility, said Dr Bevan Morris, Prime Minister of the Global Country of World Peace.*
Some of the participants from Malaysia have their own school, and they are going to introduce the programme to 400 students.
Dr Morris met with the course during his recent world tour.** 'From this Teacher Training [Course] we felt a tremendous wave of inspiration,' Dr Morris said.
He described one participant—a businesswoman from Malaysia—'who was absolutely so enthusiastic' that she wants to offer Transcendental Meditation to every single person in Malaysia.
There are also two sisters on the course who will soon be the first Transcendental Meditation Teachers from Vietnam. They joined the course after only a few months of practising Transcendental Meditation themselves.
'We really should keep holding as many Teacher Training Courses as possible,' Dr Morris concluded. 'We need more teachers, particularly younger ones—but new teachers who are enthusiastic and ready to go out and really do great things.'
* Dr Morris's report was featured on the 31 March 2010 Maharishi Global Family Chat, broadcast daily via Internet webcast on the Maharishi Channel, Channel 3. Podcasts of the daily Global Family Chat (audio track) are also now available for automatic download, via an RSS feed.
