New Zealand: Transcendental Meditation ends school violence

The practice of Transcendental Meditation has completely transformed a school plagued by violence in New Zealand.

Dr Bevan Morris, Prime Minister of the Global Country of World Peace, visited the school during his recent world tour.*

One hundred fifty students have learned the Transcendental Meditation Programme, Dr Morris reported.**

'[It is] a very low income school, and it had so much violence before that they had a policeman assigned to the school,' Dr Morris said.

'Now with the children meditating together . . . the violence has dropped away,' he continued.

'The policeman says he is never called to the school for a violent incidence,' Dr Morris reported. Instead he goes there during 'quiet time' to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere created by the students' group meditation.

'He likes to go and sit there during the 'quiet time' in the school—just sit and enjoy the silence of the school,' Dr Morris said.

'These are all absolutely magical things, remarkable things in every way,' Dr Morris concluded, referring to the extraordinary changes Consciousness-Based Education so easily makes possible.
