Maharishi Institute of Management in India continues to train enlightened corporate leaders and qualified teachers. In the previous academic year 500 leaders graduated, and there are now 300 new admissions to the Institute.

In the current academic year, 24 branches of Maharishi Institute of Vedic and Management Sciences were launched. These institutes are offering courses in Maharishi's Vedic Science, along with management and computer science.

Dr Girish Varma, National Director of the Global Country of World Peace in India, concluded his recent major report* about these and many other great achievements of the organizations of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in India.

Dr Varma went on to report that new land has been purchased around the Global Capital of World Peace at the Brahmasthan [geographical centre] of India, where about 10,000 Maharishi Vedic Pandits will perform Vedic recitation. Construction continues for buildings for the Vedic Pandits at the Brahmasthan, and six Raja residences have also been completed.

The monthly digital newsletter 'e-gyan' was launched in 2009 to report on all the activities and achievements of Maharishi's organizations in India. It is sent to over 300,000 individuals each month; six editions of this newsletter have been distributed.

A news service launched one year ago, on 12 January 2009, has achieved 150,000 visitors per month. There are thousands of subscribers, including individuals, news agencies, newspapers, and electronic media. The service has a large team of managers, editors, correspondents, cameramen, and reporters covering national and international news. A monthly news report will be available soon.

Dr Varma presented all these achievements in gratitude to Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, Founder of the Global Country of World Peace, and the eternal Vedic Tradition of India,** during the Inauguration of Maharishi's Third Year of Invincibility—Global Raam Raj [Heaven on Earth].

* Dr Varma's address was given via a videotaped presentation during the global 12 January celebrations held in MERU, Holland. Dr Varma is also Director-General of the Global Capital of World Peace at the Brahmasthan of India, Chairman of the 160 Maharishi Vidya Mandir Schools Group, and President of Maharishi Institutes of Management and Information Technology, in India.

** The Transcendental Meditation Programme is based on the ancient Vedic tradition of knowledge in India. This knowledge has been handed down by Vedic Masters from generation to generation for thousands of years. In this generation, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi introduced Transcendental Meditation to the world, through his 50 years lifelong work restoring the knowledge and direct experience of Transcendental Consciousness, leading to the development of higher states of consciousness,*** invincibility for every nation, and peace for the world.

*** Maharishi explains that beyond the familiar states of waking, dreaming, and sleeping are four higher states of consciousness—Transcendental Consciousness, Cosmic Consciousness, God Consciousness, and Unity Consciousness—each bringing a new dimension of physiological functioning, experience, knowledge, and fulfilment.
