Leading brain researcher Dr Fred Travis to speak on Transcendental Meditation at top educational institutions, United Arab Emirates

In early December, Dr Fred Travis, Director of Maharishi University of Management's Center for Brain, Consciousness, and Cognition, will begin a tour of the United Arab Emirates where he will speak about development of the total brain at leading educational institutions

His presentation at one of the universities will launch the introduction of the Transcendental Meditation Programme at the school.

All students and faculty will have the opportunity to learn the technique, said Raja Peter Warburton, Raja of Invincible United Arab Emirates for the Global Country of World Peace.*

The university also plans to offer several courses in collaboration with Maharishi University of Management in Fairfield, Iowa, USA.

A poster and e-mail announcement of Dr Travis's talks depicts an image of a brain at the top, with the heading: 'Developing the Total Brain for Academic Excellence'. The poster presents information about how development of the full potential of the brain is vital for every aspect of national life.

Dr Travis will also speak at Dubai International Academic City and Dubai Knowledge Village, two regions set aside for academic institutions, including branches of institutions from all over the world. Each of these regions has about 50 such institutions, Raja Peter said.

The principal of a business school, who is also a Teacher of Transcendental Meditation, has organized the invitations for heads of every school in both regions.

'This is a great ''splash'' of knowledge in that whole area, and the receptivity is absolutely tremendous,' Raja Peter said.
