Holland: Educators, students enjoy good results with Consciousness-Based Education

Describing schools in Holland where Consciousness-Based Education programmes are being introduced, Dr Sjoerd Vos said recently, 'It is a great possibility that we have in Holland with the new schools that Dr Paul Gelderloos is acquiring.' Dr Vos is National Director of Education for the Global Country of World Peace in Holland.

At the first course, in a school south of Rotterdam, eleven teachers and six students started Transcendental Meditation, and all experienced very good results, Dr Vos said—more happiness, more energy, and much improved sleep. Students felt much clearer during class periods; they felt more restful and relaxed in general, and especially during their examinations.

Speaking on the Maharishi Channel,* Dr Vos said that educators in Holland are very keen to receive this knowledge as a solution to learning or behavioural problems in their schools. Once teachers learn the practice, students also become enthusiastic to learn, on hearing and seeing the good results their teachers experience.

In Rotterdam leaders of the Global Country of World Peace will soon start building a school according to the principles of Vedic Architecture, Maharishi Sthapatya Veda, to open in September 2010.
