A conference for educators will soon take place in Latin America, to coordinate and consolidate initiatives to implement Consciousness-Based Education.
The conference will host leaders of up to 150 schools and 20 universities in Latin America—those in which the Transcendental Meditation Programme has already been introduced. The conference will advance the initiative that was launched on Akshaya Tritiya, the auspicious Day of Lasting Achievements in the Vedic Calendar, 27 April 2009, to integrate efforts among all of the continent's schools.
Reporting on 19 May 2009, Raja Jose Luis Alvarez, Raja of Invincible Latin America for the Global Country of World Peace, said, 'at this conference we hope to strengthen the bonds among educators throughout Latin America, so that we may share a collective experience going forward with plans for Consciousness-Based Education.'
Raja Luis added, in conclusion, that many school principals and vice chancellors have supported Global Country of World Peace goals to establish new Maharishi Invincibility Schools, in addition to implementing Transcendental Meditation in already existing schools.
