Seeking information on Transcendental Meditation through the web: Increasing numbers visit TM.org

More and more visitors to TM.org, the Transcendental Meditation Programme website which has recently been redesigned, have requested contact information for their local Maharishi Invincibility Centres, to learn more about instruction in the TM Programme.
The number of visitors' inquiries to locate their nearest Centre has doubled since the creation of the new TM.org website, reported Dr Mario Orsatti, National Director of Communication for the Global Country of World Peace, on 17 March 2009. 'This has been a very reliable means of measuring a new wave of interest in Transcendental Meditation,' he said.
In addition, Raja John Hagelin, Raja of Invincible America, has received 100 emails from members of the Global Country of World Peace, saying how much they enjoyed exploring the new website. Of those 100, said Dr Orsatti, 50 were from newer practitioners of the Transcendental Meditation and Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programmes, who subsequently informed family and friends about the site. 'This is a positive sign that the website is helping to inspire more people to take advantage of Maharishi's programmes,' said Dr Orsatti.
A major contributing factor to the rise in user activity on TM.org is the announcement of the 4 April David Lynch Foundation benefit concert, 'Change Begins Within', in New York, in which Sir Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, and others will perform to raise funds for the teaching of one million schoolchildren in Transcendental Meditation.
'The promotion of this event has given rise to new understanding among many people,' said Dr Orsatti. 'While previously many considered meditation to be unsuitable for those with active lifestyles, now, with TM's benefits for children being widely publicized, these same people have adjusted their attitudes, and are inquiring further into the technique.'
