7 March 2009
Teachers and approximately 100 students at a primary school and a high school in the Netherlands will begin to learn the Transcendental Meditation Technique this week.
Dr Paul Gelderloos, National Director of Invincible Holland for the Global Country of World Peace, recently visited the schools, where he said the students have been eagerly anticipating learning Transcendental Meditation.
Over the weekend 7-8 March, quite a few teachers will learn and the students will learn immediately after that, he said.
In addition to offering students the opportunity to learn Transcendental Meditation and Yogic Flying, Dr Gelderloos said that every worthwhile educational tool will be incorporated so that the students have the best education possible. The principal of the school, for example, emphasizes the importance of very small classes so that each student gains maximum from the teacher.
The primary school has about 30 students and the high school has 70 students, so together with the Maharishi School in Lelystad there will be approximately 200 students enjoying Consciousness-Based Education in Holland, Dr Gelderloos said.
This number may grow, as there are three other schools in the nation that are interested in offering Transcendental Meditation, Dr Gelderloos said. Other schools are interested in utilizing Maharishi Vedic Architecture when constructing new school buildings, he added.
