In February 2009, the Maharishi College of Perfect Health of Maharishi University of Management in Fairfield, Iowa, USA, will begin its Premedical Studies Program. The two-year programme prepares students to enter medical school, leading to a full MD degree in Maharishi Integrative Medicine—a programme that integrates the knowledge from every medical tradition in the world.

This was one of three new degree programmes in Maharishi Vedic Medicine announced 14 January 2009 in MERU, Holland, during an advanced seminar conducted by Dr Rainer Picha, Minister of Health of the Global Country of World Peace.

Dr Picha also announced that in March 2009, the Maharishi University of Vedic Medicine in Geneva, Switzerland, will offer for the first time a new Bachelor of Science in Maharishi Vedic Medicine—a three-year full-time, and five-year part-time programme. Graduates will be qualified to practice Maharishi Vedic Medicine according to the regulations of Switzerland. Reimbursement from Swiss health insurance will be possible; this will also be possible in European countries where naturopathy is accepted.

Dr Picha announced that training is now starting around the world for post graduate doctors and will be offered in every country. Doctors will receive the full training for Maharishi Ayur Veda doctors, including the discovery of Veda and Vedic Literature in human physiology by Maharaja Adhiraj Rajaraam, First Ruler of the Global Country of World Peace; as well as all the Unified Field-Based knowledge, and the technologies of Maharishi Ayur Veda, including Pancha Karma and others.

The seminar was also focussed on offering Maharishi's Transcendental Meditation Programme through health insurance companies. The seminar was held during the 12 January Global Assembly in MERU, inaugurating Maharishi's Second Year of Invincibility - Global Raam Raj by the Global Country of World Peace.

Dr Picha asked Dr Walter Molk, Deputy Minister of Health, to introduce the medical terms relating to the effects of Transcendental Meditation and Dr Robert Schneider to present a brochure for health insurance companies.

Global Good News will feature Dr Picha's presentation on health insurance companies, as well as Dr Molk's and Dr Schneider's presentations, in the coming days.
