The importance of total brain development in students for national invincibility

One of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's programmes for creating world peace is to offer Consciousness-Based Education, Transcendental Meditation, and the Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme to schools, colleges, and universities around the world. This gives the youth of each nation the opportunity to develop their full brain potential and create coherence and invincibility for their nation.

Dr Paul Gelderloos, National Director for the Global Country of World Peace in the Netherlands, recently discussed this topic. He said that Maharishi had emphasized offering Consciousness-Based Education in schools for two reasons:

1) Students are just at the age for developing their brains. If this can be done in a holistic manner through the practice of Transcendental Meditation, that will have much more effect than in an adult who already has a completely developed brain. 'It may be somewhat hard to redesign the functioning of his brain,' Dr Gelderloos said.

2) There will be a constant influx of new students each year, learning Transcendental Meditation, participating in the educational system in a country, and creating coherence and harmony in national consciousness through their group practice of the Transcendental Meditation and Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme, including Yogic Flying.

Maharishi has explained that coherence in the collective consciousness of each country is the basis for coherent world consciousness, the basis for creating lasting world peace. Through this programme, the youth of each nation develop their full brain potential and simultaneously form core groups creating coherence, peace, and harmony in the nation and world.
