Dr Alarik Arenander, Director of the Brain Research Institute at Maharishi University of Management, in Fairfield, Iowa, USA, and his wife Dr Cynthia Arenander, recently reported on Maharishi Global Family Chat more about the enthusiastic response they received from students and teachers in educational institutes during their tour of India in September and October.

The Arenanders visited eight cities, making presentations to many students, and to the great intellects, academics, and opinion-makers in India about Maharishi's Vedic Science and total brain development. The presentations included live brainwave demonstrations showing increased coherence of brain activity through the practice of the Transcendental Meditation Technique.

Please also see Parts I-VI of these reports by the Arenanders.

This week's presentation by Dr Alarik and Dr Cynthia Arenander focussed on Maharishi's Vedic India Education Project and the wonderful responses they received from the students and teachers in the various educational institutes they visited.

The Arenanders inspired them all with the possibilities of Consciousness-Based Education through the unique angle of showing that an individual's brain wave coherence and complete brain functioning greatly increase through the practice of Maharishi's Transcendental Meditation Programme.

Dr Alarik Arenander said that India looks to the scientific Western world. When he and his wife gave a scientific demonstration of brain mapping, showing the changes in brain wave patterns that occur during Transcendental Meditation—and how easily and reliably one can experience Atma [the Self]—every audience became completely 'enamoured' with Maharishi's knowledge. 'This is Atma-Based Education,' Dr Arenander said. 'It allows Atma to be lived, not just talked about.'

Global Good News will feature the conclusion of the Arenanders' presentation tomorrow.
